Seam Repair Specifics

For Granite, Quartz, and Corian (solid surface) countertops

The repair process will often take 2 hours per seam to complete, possibly longer depending on the amount of colors and pattern in the countertop, and leveling that needs to be done.

All FixIt Countertops repairs are carried out by skilled technicians using only the best tools and materials in the industry. For natural and engineered stone countertops, your technician will inject resin into the seam, which is then carefully cured and polished. In some cases we will custom mix multiple color samples of epoxy to match/blend the damaged area. For solid surface (Corian) countertops, the damaged area will be removed and a color-matched material will be replaced.

After we’re done, we will leave the work area in as good or better condition than we found it.

How does it work?

Our FixIt Pro Will:

• Inspect your countertop seam damage.
• Clean out the countertop seam and re-level.
  • For Corian (solid surface) countertops, your FixIt Pro will cut out the damaged seam area.
• Mix a specially colored resin/epoxy to fill the seam.
  • For Corian (solid surface) countertops, the cut-out portion will be replaced using color-matched materials and glue.
• Cure the resin with a ultra-violet light when needed.
• Remove any excess resin to ensure a flat, flush surface.

Crack Repair Specifics

For Granite, Quartz, and Corian countertops

Repairing the crack in your countertop can often save you from a more costly countertop replacement. It’s important to repair a crack as soon as possible as a cracked countertop could develop a spread at any time. The repair process will around take 2-3 hours to complete and restores the structural integrity of your countertop.

Specifically for solid surface (Corian) countertops, cracks are fairly common. They are often the result of excessive heat and generally appear around a cooktop.

How does it work?

Our FixIt Pro Will:

• Remove any loose pieces out of the crack (for natural and engineered stone countertops) or cut our the cracked countertop area (for Corian countertops).
• Level, if necessary.
• Mix a specially colored resin/epoxy to fill the crack (for natural or engineered stone) or replace the cut out portion with a color-matched material (for Corian countertops).
  • Cure the resin with a ultra-violet light, if needed.
• For granite or quartz countertops, remove any excess resin to ensure a flat, flush surface. For Corian countertops, sand and resurface.
